WINNING SOULS FOR CHRIST | |

A PROPHECY BY KIM CLEMENT: MAY 2008 "I will cause an anointing to come that even the smallest member in your church shall begin to prophesy and the nation shall hear about thunder that is taking place in the Nation of South Africa. I have not forgotten," says the Lord, "that when I was carrying the cross the last mile, Simon from Cyrene, a black man, a man from Africa, an African, bent his back down and helped me carry the cross of shame of your sin, of your sickness. And therefore it shall once again be Africa that shall carry the Gospel the last mile." The Greek word evangelizo means to announce glad tidings. So the Gospel is glad tidings of good things. Isaiah 52:7: "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, that saith unto Zion, ‘Thy God reigneth’!" One night at our Home Cell, a friend of mine said that his brother was in hospital and I felt an unction of the Holy Spirit to go and visit him. As I walked into the hospital, I asked the Holy Spirit what would be the best way that I could present the Gospel to him. As I approached him and introduced myself I said, "You know in a few day's time people will be celebrating Valentine's Day, but do you know that God loves you?" I then read to him Luke 23:42,43 about the one thief who was also crucified with Jesus and who said, "Remember me when You come into Your kingdom." Jesus said to him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with Me in Paradise." I asked him, "Do you also want Jesus to remember you?" He nodded his head. I then prayed with him and he was born again as he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into his life as Lord and Saviour (John 3:3, 5). Ephesus was a very important city in the Roman Province of Asia, and while Paul stayed there for three years, he established a Centre for Evangelism. The Gospel spread widely throughout that Province as people came to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 6:15: "And having shod your feet with the prepa-ration of the Gospel of Peace." Preparation is to be ready for immediate action and being in a position to help. We are in the final stages of the Church Age (The dispensation of Grace) and Jesus said in John 4:35,36, "Open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." Jesus was speaking of the crop for eternal life. Paul wrote in Romans 10:14-15: "How can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news." HOW DO WE SHARE THE GOSPEL WITH OTHERS? Romans 3:23 - They must realize that they are sinners. Proverbs 28:13 - They must confess their sins to God. Psalm 103:3 - They must ask for forgiveness of their sins. Ephesians 2:8-9 - They must believe that God saves them by His grace through faith in accepting Christ as their Saviour. 2 Corinthians 6:2 - Now is the day of Salvation! Our King will soon return if we obey His command and preach the Gospel of Peace to every creature. Ephesians 2:14 - Christ is our Peace and peace means to be united with Him! |
